the current forum layout is hard to read, in the forum front page all the informations are all squeezed together, it's really hard to read.

Normally I want to see the recent topics and sometimes join in, but with the recent topic titles clogged up with all the sub forum titles, at the same time they all coded with the same font size, make me don't even want to read them. It's better to let some of the informations pop out, and others fade out with smaller font size, or simply change their colors.

what's your ideas?

I agree. I still miss the recent posts section, but understand that its resource intensive and can't be done as it was before.

Problem with changing the font size (either making the threads bigger, or the subforums smaller) is that will likely just make it look busier and more difficult to read. Nothing will stand out because everything will. Can't just change the color either, because the link color is standardized throughout.

I can't really think of a way to make it work with the current setup. It would have to be a radical change. And that wouldn't fit in with the standardization they are working on with the rest of the site.
